i created this site in december 2023 as a way to archive and celebrate evanescence fan culture on the web. this started out as a graphics section on my personal site that quickly grew over the years into a 1k+ collection, so i decided that it needed its own space.
a lot of these were made long before i was into evanescence, hell, some we're probably made before i was even born, so by the time i got here i found the once-bustling fan sites, webrings, and forums slowly deteriorating and becoming lost to time. image links are breaking, sites are becoming dormant or even taken down completely, hosting services are shutting down one by one. with the help of other evfans and friends and the wayback machine, i'm finding and posting everything i can get my hands on so i can do my part in keeping this wonderful community's history alive.
most of these graphics were found secondhand via places like tumblr, gifcities, and shut down graphics sites that can only be accessed via wayback machine. i want to properly credit as many people as possible, so if you or someone you know made any of the graphics you see on this site, let me know via the guestbook, evthreads, spacehey, or email me at malicescence@proton.me . i will credit you by linking your graphics back to any socials/websites of yours and your name/socials/site will be in the credits page, or if you want me to take them down completely, i can do that as well.
